Anxiety prioritizes what she believes to be a better version of Riley. She is often seen forcefully pushing her until she consumes all parts of her true identity.

Hiding in his hoodie for most of the film, Embarrassment illustrates Riley’s awkward side. He is extremely shy and is often seen separating himself from the other emotions.

With her large eyes, Envy is eternally jealous of everyone around her, constantly longing for something that someone else has.

Ennui, meaning “boredom” in French, is lethargically apathetic to anything around her. She helps control the headquarters console through her phone in a highly unbothered manner.
