Research is messy and frequently may feel like a struggle. There is no perfect prompt, AI tool, or source code. As you work though your research process, take moments to pause, reflect on your past work, and consult helpful networks within your community.

Read Content Through a Critical Eye

Take the time to check any content generated through AI for accuracy, relevance, reliability, and currency. Just like evaluating other information sources, apply techniques like lateral reading and SIFT to be a careful consumer of media. After initially analyzing an AI's outputs, ask yourself questions like:

1. Are certain knowledge or lived perspectives affirmed or ignored?
2. What is your position/point-of-view?
3. How will changing the questions you ask AI alter its results?
