Transcript
St Basils Church was built on its present site, in 1079, it was re-built between 1101-1126. To the left of the nave altar is the Tredegar Chapel and 1917 the family vault was moved outside the north wall of the church. Bright painted windows in the chapel depict St. John the Baptist baptising Jesus and also the Crucifixion of our Lord. There are many interesting and ornate marble and wooden memorial slabs and tablets in the walls of the nave, chancel and Tredegar Chapel. A visit to explore the many features of the building for yourself is recommended.

Under the shade of the trees in the church yard there is space for wildflowers and bushes to grow. Thomas to write something about the bio diversity?
There are two war graves in St Basil's, both in the lower end of the churchyard. One near the shade of the tree in this image and the other further over to the left, nearer to the boundary wall. Both graves are maintained by the War Graves commission. Click on the link below for more information about the commision.
