CLASSEs & EXPECTATIONS
- The course divided into 2 x 18-week semesters.
- Units/projects generally run for six or nine weeks.
- Continuous assessment: practical projects, self-study assignments, class tests etc.: no end-of-year exams.
- As full-time students you are enrolled for 30 hours per week: Timetabled weekly ‘class’ time is 12-15 hours. The rest is for self-directed study.
- Some of your classes might be online as part of the college's Blended Learning approach.
- Attendance is mandatory. Consistent non-attendance or achievement will result in withdrawal.
City Live
City Live is a student-run website which showcases content from Journalism, Media and Professional Writing students at City of Glasgow College. Lecturers will provide information on how you can get involved.
Progression
If you continue on to second year, you can progress to a variety of university courses (third year entry).
