- The course divided into 2 x 18-week semesters
- Units/projects can run for one semester or all year.
- Continuous assessment: practical projects, self-study assignments, class tests etc.: no end-of-year exams.
- As full-time students you are enrolled for 30 hours per week: Timetabled weekly ‘class’ time is between 12-15 hours. The rest is for self-directed study.
- Some of your classes might be online as part of the college's Blended Learning approach.
- Attendance is mandatory. Consistent non-attendance or achievement will result in withdrawal.

City Live is a student-run website which showcases content from Journalism, Media and Professional Writing students at City of Glasgow College. Lecturers will provide information on how you can get involved.
