How will I learn? Lesson structure in Modern Languages

It is important that you arrive at class on time and ready to learn!Lesson starter Main teaching Plenary

The first 5-10 minutes of each lesson will start with a lesson starter. This allows you to practise skills, concepts or vocabulary learned from previous lessons and get the brain fired up! Get your jotter out and start working on this as soon as you are in class.

At the start of this part of the lesson, your teacher will set out the learning intentions and make it clear what success looks like in the lesson- this is what we are all working towards! It's really important everyone actively participates in the lesson- remember it's ok to make mistakes! Make sure you copy any important vocab or notes. You might be asked to work individually or as part of a team- your teacher might use worksheets, games, mini whiteboards, or ICT to assess understanding.

This is where you get to show us what you have learned. Your teacher may check for understanding in various ways; exit passes, show me boards or simply by just answering a question. Your teacher may also set homework as this point through Satchel One. Please make sure this is completed on time.

We look forward to teaching you!
