District Wide Professional Development Model
Characteristics: The peer learning professional development model allows colleagues to collaborate and share their expertise and knowledge (Reeves, 2024). Though peer learning can be formal or informal, the goal is to have a collaborative experience between two or more peers. Further, peer learning fosters engagement while promoting learning and development (Reeves, 2024). Effectiveness: The peer learning model effectively creates professional development for teachers because it emphasizes collaborative learning, reflective practices, and practical application. When teachers engage in peer learning, they can discuss their shared experiences, which allows them to develop new perspectives and improve their teaching practices in real-time (Ohayon & Albulescu, 2022).

Characteristics: The coaching and mentoring professional development model allows an experienced individual to support a less experienced individual (Linkedin, 2024). In the model, coaching is short-term and focused on improving the mentee's specific skills and performance, while mentoring is long-term and focuses on the mentee's overall growth (Linkedin, 2024). Effectiveness: The coaching and mentoring model effectively creates professional development for teachers because it provides personalized support that directly aligns with the teacher's needs. Through the coaching and mentoring model, reflection is encouraged, allowing teachers to consistently improve their instructional techniques with support from an experienced teacher (Loveless, 2024).

Advantages
Characteristics: The workshop professional development model is a focused and interactive session whose goal is to introduce teachers to specific teaching strategies or tools based on data collected and analyzed. Workshops are also active learning sessions that provide opportunities for teachers to collaborate (Plotinsky, 2020). Effectiveness: The workshop model effectively creates professional development for teachers because it creates a structure that promotes active participation and immediate application of strategies (Plotinsky, 2020). This model allows teachers to engage with direct instruction, hands-on practice, and collaborative reflection (Plotinsky, 2020).

Advantages
Characteristics: The district-wide professional development model is intended to align all teachers within the district around common goals and instructional strategies. The model centers around sessions that address the district's priorities, which can include data-driven instruction and curriculum implementation or new initiatives that will be implemented (Plotinsky, 2020). District-wide professional development sessions are the same across the district, with everyone receiving the same information and working towards the same goal (Plotinsky, 2020). Effectiveness: The district-wide model effectively creates professional development for teachers because it consistently develops professional growth opportunities for all schools within the district. This model ensures everyone in the district is working towards the same instructional goals, which can lead to a unified approach to learning throughout the district (Plotinsky, 2020).

Advantages
Characteristics: The online professional development model allows teachers to have flexibility, accessibility, and a personalized learning experience by providing them with the opportunity to engage with learning at their own pace and schedule (Stangl, 2023). Effectiveness: The online model effectively creates professional development for teachers because it engages teachers in content at their own pace and convenience, allowing this model to accommodate different schedules and learning needs (Stangl, 2023). The model is also practical because it encourages continuous learning by providing access to resources at all times (Stangl, 2023).
