What is considered a tardy?

A student is tardy if he/she is not seated in assigned seat BEFORE the tardy bell rings.

If I'm Tardy to class

The teacher will record the tardy and upon the 3rd tardy, the assistant principal will be notified resulting in one unexcused absence. The unexcused absence must be made up in TfT. If you are tardy 1st block, you must check in to the office before going to class to get a tardy slip. Students checking out of school after 2:30 will recieve a tardy in their 4th block class and will receive an absence in 4th block class for every 3rd tardy. ( See Student Hnadbook.) se

Attendance

It is your responsibility to request your work after you've been absent!

Attendance3- 6- 9-

You are required to make up work assigned during the absence for all classes missed within 3 days after returning to school. Work or exams assigned prior to the absence is due upon return to school unless in special case of hospitalization. After missing 6 days within a term, students are required to make up any time missed during TfT. Out-of-school suspensions are counted as part of the student's 6 maximum absences for the term; in-school suspensions will not be counted as absences. After 3 absences per term, parents are contacted. Truancy intervention begins at 5 days unexcused. If truancy continues, juvenile court will be notified. If you have been absent, report to the secretary BEFORE 1st block on the day you return for an admit slip. Give this slip to each teacher whose class was missed for his/her initials. (See Student Handbook)

It must be legible if you want a score! Fully complete assignments as accurately as possible. Incomplete and subpar work will result in a subpar score. I prefer pencil over pen. Pens and poor handwriting are not a good combination. If you use a pen for classwork, it must be blue or black ink only. No colored pens (red, pastels, etc.) or you will redo the assignemnt which may result in a late grade. Essays and any extended writing must be written in pencil only. Do your own work! Chromebooks do not leave this class. Use the assigned chromebook # (same as your phone assignment) and return/plug in to the assigned spot after use. Do not access prohibited sites. You are monitored by CO and me using a surveillance app. Do not use another student's chromebook. School Property vs. Personal
