Explanations

The verb to be is an essential verb in the English language. It is very important because it is used to describe: personal information, location, characteristics, age...etc! I am Carolina She is at home They are hungry He is 46 years old

CONJUGATION

We, they, you -> ARE

He, she, it -> IS

I -> AM

We are friends They are at th office Your are nice

The affirmative sentence uses: AM, IS, ARE. I am your teacher. (I'm) You are my student. (You're) It is great! (It's)

The negative sentence uses: AM NOT, IS NOT, ARE NOT. I am not your teacher. (I'm not) You are not my student. (You're not/ you aren't) It is not great! (It's not/ It isn't)

The Interrogative sentence uses: AM, IS, ARE at the beginning of the sentence before the subject. Am I your teacher? Are you are my student? Is it great?

He is only two years old. My parents are tall and slim. My mum's hair is dark brown, and her eyes are blue. My father's hair is red, and his eyes are green. We are a happy family. We aren't lazy. We are active and healthy. I love playing football in my free time and so do my brother and sister. We hope to be football players in the future.

I am a fourteen-year-old girl. I am tall and thin. My hair is brown, and my eyes are green. My family isn't small. There are six people in my family. I have two brothers and one sister. My sister is slim, and her eyes are blue. Her hair isn't blonde. It is dark brown. My younger brother is similar to me. His eyes are green, but his hair is red. He really loves sports. My youngest brother is still a baby.
