My Cake

A dab of butter and a cup of flour, The cake will be ready in about an hour Don’t worry dear, I’ll turn the oven up, The cake will be ready before we sup.

An hour! An hour? I can’t wait that long. The cake won’t be ready in time for my date! Is there no way to make it bake faster? This date is sure to be a disaster. Oh no, MOM! It’s burned!

A kitchen on a stormy evening BOB: Let’s start over again. (Begins mixing the ingredients.) COCO: (Taps her fingers impatiently.) Okay, now we mix everything together. BOB: (Begins stirring) COCO: Bob, stop! What are you doing? BOB: You said to stir! What is the problem? COCO: You have to stir carefully. You need to keep the ingredients in the bowl.
