Prereading

Do you prefer to always do the same exercise, or do different exercises?

Once you have decided to exercise, you should also make sure to do a variety of activities so that you can work on having true physical fitness. To be a great athlete, you must have good agility. Agility means that you are able to move easily and change directions quickly. There are many components of agility that you can improve. You should work your muscles to make sure that they are strong. Strength allows your muscles to create power and move safely. Your muscles should also have good endurance. Endurance means you can do an activity for a long period of time. Strength allows a tennis player to hit the ball hard, while good endurance is what allows them to play a match that lasts over five hours.

Learning session

Flexibility is a very important component of physical fitness. Flexibility means your muscles can stretch. This allows you to move in many directions without so many injuries. You should stretch every time after you exercise and make sure to do a proper warm-up and cool-down. Speed is another component of agility. You can improve your speed by practicing with proper form. It is also important to run on different courses. Practice running upstairs, or up a steep hill. Also run long distances slowly to work on endurance.

Learning session

Body control and balance are also very important parts of agility. You could practice body control by playing catch with a friend. This will make sure you can move your hands to react to what you see. You can work on balance by standing on one foot, or hopping from one foot to another. These skills will help you improve as an athlete and keep up your motivation to stay healthy.
