Mozart composed works for symphonic orchestras, operas, chamber music and choruses. His work was very popular and he should have had great success. However, he led a short life full of disappointment.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the most famous and influential composers in the world. He was born in 1756 and only lived for thirty-five years, but during those years he was quite prolific, writing over 800 works in many genres.

As a child, he toured around Europe, especially in Italy. He returned to Salzburg and by the age of seventeen was already employed in the royal court, playing music and composing for the king and queen. This job was not to his liking, though.

Mozart was born in Salzburg, Germany and showed an ability for music at a very young age. He could play the keyboard and violin as an infant and completed his first composition at the age of 5.
