What are some things people can get addicted to?
prices
Reading
When you finally get a mobile phone, you feel like you are now free as a bird. You can watch videos wherever you are. You can send messages, meet up with your friends, cancel plans and reschedule meetings at any moment of the day. You can buy tickets, do your shopping, and check prices from anywhere in the world. And best of all, you can download and play games all day long.
expect
Reading
But let me tell you, a mobile phone is nothing but a trap. Now you are expected to be available immediately to everyone all day long. Your friends expect you to answer their messages immediately, and they get upset if you don’t. You might have plans with a friend, and take a bus for half an hour, only to get there and have your friend tell you they aren’t coming. Worst of all, your boss can send you work to do on your day off, and since you have your phone, and are connected to the internet 24/7, you must do that work right away.
fake
Reading
Shopping online sounds like a wonderful opportunity. It is so convenient to be able to buy anything at any time and have it delivered the next day right to your doorstep. But, let me warn you, some of the products online are very bad quality. The fake reviews are what the companies use to trick you and make you buy their products. It’s also possible that you will become addicted to shopping, and spend way more money than you should.
trivial
Reading
Speaking of addiction, watch out for games and social media. Before you know it, you will be spending all of your time playing silly games and reading your "friends" updates. You could be using your phone to learn about the world, or pick up a new hobby. But instead, you will be wasting your time with trivial, unimportant things.
