Towahee School Board Meeting Transcripts 22 August 22 6:49 p.m . Kathy Rastan
I’d like to take a moment to say that I completely disagree with Mr. Altern’s opinion on the school uniform policy. I believe that school uniforms are an antiquated tradition that no longer has any place in a modern school. We now know that social and emotional wellbeing is just as important as academics in a secondary school, yet a uniform works against this wellbeing.

Towahee School Board Meeting Transcripts 22 August 22 6:42 p.m. David Altern
I have heard about the protest that the students of Towahee Secondary school have mounted against the uniform policy that is currently in place. I would like to see this protest stopped by the administration. I think the students have acted terribly and should be punished severely. The uniform policy is in place for a reason and the students are completely out of line for disobeying its rules.

Towahee School Board Meeting Transcripts 22 August 22 7:06 p.m. Jethro Glimm
I have listened to the last two speakers and am amazed that we have spent so much time on such a trivial matter. Why are we discussing clothing, when the real issue we need to discuss is the loss of the science club? I found out a few weeks ago that the school board is no longer going to fund the club and the club will no longer be able to meet in the science lab.
