Introducing our Digital Product Passport solution
Challenges Ahead
Digital Product Passport
What's happening and how it affects you In the Spring of 2024 the Digital Product Passport (DPP) regulation was drafted by the European Commission, with implementation of the first product groups scheduled for 2026/27. A clearly defined 3 phase programme has been set out over a 10 year period. In parallel, GS1 will be launching it’s Sunrise 2027 transition programme, phasing out linear barcodes and replacing them with dynamic 2D QR codes. Our approach at Buyerdock and Byways is to prepare all product for these known and emerging requirements.

What Is DPP?
What it does and how it works Digital Product Passports showcase the traceability and transparency of your product's manufacturing process, sustainability credentials, compliances, and entire life cycle - all through our iQRCodeTM. It acts as an on-product identifier and the QR code also offers the ability to be scanned at point-of-sale. Our innovative web app holds all DPP information with links to your website for product information, marketing, and how-to-guides.
