MISSION

The goal of this lesson is to empower students to successfully overcome challenges and achieve goals by providing them with the necessary skills and strategies for collaborative problem solving and effective networking. Through hands on activities, real-world examples, and skill- building exercises, the lesson aims to equip students with both the knowledge and confidence to apply these skills effectively.

dESIGN PROCESS

I came upon this design for my lesson by thinking about what I want to learn about first. By choosing a topic that excites me and that I am truly interested in, I was able to engage in the creative process actively and happily. This gave me the inspiration and motivation to create a passionate project that allowed me to learn along the way and teach the way that I would want to be taught. I knew I wanted to share something meaningful that will enrich the students’ intellectual life while also keeping the lessons relevant and enjoyable. Once I gathered what my purpose and goals were for this project, I decided that an instructional template, with light colors and a worthy design, would be best. My intent with “Preparing for Real-World Challenges: Networking, Communication, and Collaborative Solutions” was to improve course materials by including resources, materials, and activities that will equip students with essential skills to overcome daily challenges in professional and personal situations. I believe that in addition to what I learned in IDS3073 this semester, improving communication skills and strengthening teamwork and problem-solving techniques would be very useful to me once I graduate. I also believe that it’s very important to understand how to work together to address challenges with one another. Strategies for managing and resolving disagreements constructively would go a long way in ensuring the success of relationships, as well as learning how to be aware of cultural differences that may affect networking, communication, and teamwork.

Dear new student of IDS3073, you are in for a pleasant surprise! This course has been nothing short of amazing, offering really valuable lessons about how to pave your own journey in life. It teaches you to be creative and engage in the ideas that excite you. This class will teach you to innovate and empower you to be willing to take differnt paths, the ones that you feel drawn to. The curriculum is very well structured and will be both enlightening and inspiring! Have fun! My absolute favorite assignment was the Odyssey Journey. This assignment allowed me to really evaluate my life and the choices I've made while also opening my eyes to the possibilites that I have ignored simply due to lack mindset. This assignment pushed me to approach my dreams and visions differently, encouraging me to look beyond what I think I can or cannot do and focus on what I can improve to achieve my goals.
