Spread the word: innovative european e-nviron-mental friendly classrooms

Short description

By enhancing the approaches of the whole school learning environment in our classrooms through fostering dialogue, promoting diversity and mutual understanding, clear expectations for students are being made in our inclusive, safe, care and awareness-based classrooms as well as peaceful societies are establishing in all European schools. Education, based upon the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 - offers innovative, peace - building solutions as novel ways of learning for students, teachers and parents. Efforts for realization of the aims of the 17 Global Goals in our classrooms along with the dissemination of the outcomes of the project to our school community as well as to the local communities of our towns as a whole, provide a shared blueprint for peace, prosperity, innovative way of thinking and practice in Education. Under the lens of the above educational philoshophy, celebration of Unesco Days through realizing the aims of the sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all of us in Earth.

Our Gratitude Jar

Students from 8th Primary School of Thebes started to have a gratitude jar in our classroom.

A gratitude jar is the perfect way to help students think about and recognize the things they have to be thankful for. The idea behind the jar is for students to write down something they are grateful for on a piece of paper and place it in the jar.

This activity is a great way for them to focus on positive things. Sometimes it's the simple things that make life wonderful: the beautiful sunrise, having food to eat and clothes to wear, our friends,....
