You must be actively working (working over the minimum hour requirement) once the Short Term Disability policy goes into effect.

If you are hired after the Short Term Disability policy effective date, you become eligible the day you begin actively working.

To become eligible for Short Term Disability, you must satisfy the waiting period.

If your policy has a 60 day waiting period, you must satisfy the 60 days before becoming eligible.
