Adolescence is a transitional phase marked by physical, emotional and social changes. During this period, adolescents begin to develop their own identity and independence, including their attitudes and behaviors towards consumption. This work explores how teenagers face purchasing challenges and assume responsibilities, addressing financial, social and psychological aspects.

Digital influencers have a huge influence on teenagers. They promote products and lifestyles that can influence young people’s preferences and purchasing decisions. The pressure to follow trends can lead to impulsive and unplanned spending.

Many teenagers do not receive adequate financial education, making it difficult for them to develop the skills needed to manage their money effectively. Without a clear understanding of budgeting, savings and credit, they may face financial problems in the future. Encouraged by advertising and social pressure, consumerism can lead teenagers to live beyond their means. The convenience of credit, such as prepaid cards and digital accounts, can lead to early debt.

Teens can be encouraged to develop a financial plan, set short- and long-term goals, and learn to make wise choices about spending and saving money. Open discussions about finances, responsibilities, and values can help teens develop healthy drinking habits.

A tecnologia tem um impacto profundo nas compras dos adolescentes, oferecendo tanto oportunidades quanto desafios. Com a orientação adequada e a educação necessária, os adolescentes podem aprender a usar a tecnologia de maneira responsável, desenvolvendo habilidades financeiras sólidas e hábitos de consumo conscientes. Assumir a responsabilidade por suas decisões de compra não só promove a independência, mas também prepara os jovens para uma vida financeira saudável e sustentável.
Technology has greatly changed the purchasing habits of young people, offering unique opportunities and challenges. With easy access to e-commerce, access to social media and the use of financial management tools, young people are more connected and knowledgeable than ever. However, this relationship brings with it problems such as consumerism, social pressure and digital security challenges. To face these challenges, it is important that young people receive strong financial literacy and guidance in the responsible use of technology. Families, schools and communities play an important role in providing the support young people need to develop strong, smart consumer skills. Additionally, promoting environmental and social responsibility in purchasing decisions helps create ethical and informed consumers.
