Capabilities

Selling points
  • Fields or columns are the fundamental building blocks that users want to share across accounts and workflows.
  • Standardize user terminology: Eliminate confusion by unifying terms across the organization. Say goodbye to inconsistencies like "Trustworthy" vs. "5th OKR" and streamline your workflows.
  • Achieve centralized control and management: Maintain complete oversight ensuring consistency and efficiency across all workflows.
  • Simplify Reporting: Generate reports with shared values, eliminating the need to map columns or deal with conflicting data. This approach allows builders to create reports effortlessly, leveraging consistent organizational terminology used by everyone.
Target audiences

All Gantt users, but especially Project Managers in Enterprises with custom fiscal years start.

Selling points
  • Now users can ensure they never lose important form data again or struggle to locate it when needed.
  • Unlike larger competitors such as Typeform, SurveyMonkey, and Google Forms, this capability sets us apart and meets a direct demand from our community, enhancing user satisfaction and efficiency.
Use cases

This feature supports any use case that utilizes one or more of the 10 newly supported columns.

Selling points

This feature empowers workflow builders to tailor their flows to their exact needs, increasing the adoption of automated processes and leading to saved time and effort.

Use cases
  • Account-level fields: Builders create specific columns that hold meaning across multiple workflows within the account, impacting the entire business, such as OKRs and office locations.
  • Workflow-level fields: Workflow builders create specific columns that are meaningful to particular workflows within a workspace or across workspaces, such as priority, SLA, and sprint details.
Tech-info

Limitations

  • New items that are created must be connected to an existing board. The item will conform to the board's structure and columns.
  • Items can only be added to boards with a People Column.
  • After adding a new item, the new items might take a few minutes to be presented. Users must refresh the page in order to see the changes reflected.

Use cases
  • Users who want to expand their collaboration with other departments in the organization. For example, the Dev team intends to collaborate with the sales team, which uses CRM, to incorporate customer feature requests into the product roadmap and development board for prioritization.
  • Users who have started working with a particular product and want to shift their work to another product that better suits their workflow, or users who wish to expand their work to include more products and need to share some existing workspaces instead of creating it from scratch.
Selling points
  • This feature supports different workflows for different teams (see Use Cases)
  • This feature improves the UX for global teams, separating the visual representation of the "first day of the week" and the "weekend" definition (see Use Cases)
Target audiences
  • Project Managers: Gain control over timeline and deliver projects on schedule.
  • Sales Teams: Never miss a lead follow-up again: set reminders to reach out at precisely the right time.
  • Customer Service: Delight clients by setting reminders for follow-ups, renewals, or any time-sensitive queries.
Use cases
  • A workflow builder who needs to present a complex flow in stages
  • An agile specilaist who needs to report on progress to functions that don't use WorkCanvas
  • A procurement specialist who needs to share specific information from a canvas with external vendors
  • Exporting sensitive information and encrypting it in PDF format
Tech-info
  • Currently, only the status and dropdown columns can be set as Global columns
  • In the next phases we plan to include:
    • Support for additional basic non-dependent columns (number, date) and support for reporting capabilities (mirroring, dashboards)
    • Builder ability to add column owners
    • Role permissions
    • Complex columns
    • and more!
  • Note: The name “Global column” will most likely updated soon
Support

High-touch support: danahoffen@gmail.com

Target audiences
  • All WorkCanvas users, but especially:
    • Large companies who deal with a lot of external vendors
    • Companies with more strict security needs (enabled in PDF format)
    • Functions that need to report on a regular basis
Target audiences
  • Portfolio owners
  • Available only in the Portfolio Solution in Work Management
Target audiences
  • All monday users who manage big dashboards.
Tech-info
  • The boards connected to the dashboard have columns matched to one another.
  • With a single filter rule, any matched column can be filtered across all the boards in the dashboard.
  • The columns are matched automatically when boards are connected to the dashboard, and this can be edited in the dashboard settings.

Limitations

  • Matched columns that include certain columns such as mirror and connected boards are not supported.
  • Most column filter operators that require aggregating boards data to generate the options ('is' and 'text is' in Name, Number, Country, etc.) are not supported. However, they can still be filtered by other operators like 'contains' or 'eq'.
  • Lack of additional user control on how to behave in more complex cases - e.g. whether to include or exclude unmatched boards.
Target audiences
  • monday CRM users - all tiers
Target audiences
  • Marketing & creative managers
  • Project managers
  • External customers
  • IT
Target audiences
  • WorkCanvas & monday.com users (Pro & Ent plans)
  • Project managers

  • Ensuring you never miss critical deadlines, follow-ups or touch-points.

Tech info

Watch the video to explore the new UI:

Selling points
  • This feature solves a specific issue customers had when setting up a starting month for the year when all months prior to the selected starting month were automatically attributed to the last fiscal year.
  • This update allows more flexibility in using the feature and increases adoption.
  • This feature supports customers with unique use cases or in unique locations that need their "official start" of the year to vary.
Use cases
  • This feature is useful especially in large dashboards with multiple connected boards, where setting filters one by one is tedious.
Use cases

Bug reporting: Set a condition requiring a developer to assign themselves to the ticket only if the "Reproducible Steps" field is filled in. This ensures that the reporter has provided clear steps to recreate the bug, reducing back-and-forth communication and saving developers time. Additionally, having a required field for "Severity" (critical, major, minor) helps prioritize bug fixes based on their impact. These conditions and required fields streamline the development process by ensuring that crucial information is captured and tasks are efficiently routed.

Target audiences
  • monday dev users
  • Developers
  • Scrum Masters
Use cases
  • Project Management in countries with fiscal years that don't start on January 1st
  • Cyclical organizations that need more flexibility around their "official start" of the year, e.g.:
    • Schools in September
    • Seasonal holiday resorts
    • Religious institutions
Target audiences
  • Project Managers
  • Sales
  • Customer Service
  • Marketing
  • Admins
Enterprise Standardization Offering

As we extend our platform capabilities for enterprises, we are committed to providing tools that enable customers to standardize their workflows. Standardization enhances management efficiency, improves cross-organization reporting, ensures reliable workflows, and boosts organizational collaboration. We do it in our unique monday way - with minimal compromise on team flexibility. The Global Column is a key element of the standardization offering. The Global Column is a standardization building block that empowers builders at different levels to standardize workflows. It allows builders to create, own, and manage columns with specific meanings and settings, which can be shared across the organization. By using Global Columns, teams can maintain consistent terminology for their data.

Target audiences
  • All My Work users
Target audiences

Workspace owners who have an seat in more than one product or wish to move their workspaces from one product to another.

App capabilities
  • Select Any Calendar: The app enables you to select from any of the calendars linked to your Google account.
  • Add multiple Google accounts, granting you the flexibility to choose from a list of calendars across all accounts.
  • Connect different calendars to different boards.
  • Flexible Integration Rules: The app offers customizable integration rules, whether it's a one-way sync from monday board to Google Calendar, one-way sync from Google Calendar to monday board, or a two-way sync between both platforms.
  • Status-Based Event Creation: Set up automatic calendar events creation based on changes in item status. Only create calendar events when a status change aligns with your desired criteria, ensuring precise and efficient scheduling.
  • Real-Time Syncing: All your board items and calendar events are synced in real time. To ensure strong reliability and consistency, another periodic sync happens every 15 minutes to ensure no update gets lost in the middle.
Use cases
  • Any forms that require time and other stakeholders to fill out
  • Long forms/long submissions
Use cases

A portfolio owner sets up an automation that runs once a week and updates the project health status (RAG) to Amber if 70% of the tasks in the project board are in stuck status.

Selling points
  • Dev users now have the ability to see a full list of changes and additions in the context of a sprint
Use cases
  • Automate CI/CD pipeline: Set up automatic processes to build, test, and deploy your code whenever there are changes. This helps to catch bugs early and streamline the release process.
  • Run pipeline based on events: CircleCI can trigger pipelines based on various events in your repository. For instance, you can create a pipeline that runs tests automatically whenever a commit is pushed.
Tech-info
  • At the account level, what is defined as a "weekend" will still be considered the same across all users. However, for ease of picking dates and presenting calendars, there is now an option to change the UI at the user level.
  • By default, users will see the pickers / widgets according to what their country considers to be the first day of the week, but as mentioned, they now have the ability to override this in the My Profile section.
  • Since "first day of week" is only for personal presentational purposes, there is no actual conflict between the settings. For example:
    • An account admin sets the first day of the week to be Monday (implying Saturday - Sunday is a weekend). The admin also chooses to hide weekends.
    • As a user in Israel, the first day of my week is Sunday and so I choose Sunday as the first day of the week under My Profile.
    • The result then is the following ->
Target audiences
  • monday workflows users
Target audiences
  • Admins and users, especially in global organizations
Target audiences
  • Project managers
  • Available only in the Portfolio Solution in Work Management

  • Managing a project directly from WC while also connecting it to a board and a dashboard in monday.com
Selling points
  • JIRA Data Center is the version mostly used by ENT accounts. Hence, It's a highly requested update by today's biggest accounts.
  • This improvement allows monday to comply with the big ENT companies' requirements and make it an ENT standard.
Use cases
  • Project and portfolio managers who want to streamline the addition of projects from My Work into specific boards
Selling points
  • Saving time and effort by preventing manual and double work of re-uploading Excel files due to missing important columns that weren't mapped.
  • Streamlines and simplifies importing from Excel to ease the migration process and enhance user experience.
Use cases
  • Marketing teams needs to see the "absolute" time for a running campaign, whereas devs needs to understand what are their working days time.
  • Users from Tel Aviv working in an American company can now see Sunday as the first day of the week as they are used to, unrelated to the definition of the weekend by the company.
Use cases

A new department onboarding the CRM product wants to import their leads, managed in Excel, to the existing product's "Leads" board.

Target audiences
  • All ENT users
Selling points
  • This was a much-anticipated feature for big dashboards
  • This improvement allows dashboard creators and dashboard viewers to filter multiple boards simultaneously, decreasing manual work and wait/filter time for viewers.
App capabilities
  • Set Custom Time-Based Notifications: Specify the exact date and time for notifications for any item
  • Personalize Notification Triggers: Define conditions like an upcoming due date, a milestone, or any other time-sensitive event crucial for your workflow.
Tech-info

Target audiences
  • Project & Product managers
  • Developers, and team members who use monday Dev to manage their tasks and projects.
