Designing Your Game
01
Designing your own carnival game
Go to the Google Classroom assignment labeled "Project: Homecoming Carnival Game" to locate the Google document you'll use to collaborate with your group. The goal is to make your game fun and fair. Think about games you've played before—what makes them enjoyable? Use your imagination and creativity to come up with something unique and exciting.
01
Here's what you need to brainstorm with your group...
- Theme: What is the theme of your game? Is it based on a favorite sport, a popular movie, a magical world, or something else?
- Rules: How do people play your game? Make sure the rules are clear and easy to follow.
- Materials: What do you need to set up your game? Think about how you want to decorate.
Here are some resources you can look at to start thinking about creating and building your game.

Planning logistics
Now, let's dive into the logistics of setting up your game and running it smoothly. In the same Google document, start a new section with your group labeled "Planning Logistics". Here, your group will make decisions on planning and set-up.
02
Consider the following... Advertising:
- Posters and Flyers: Create eye-catching posters and flyers to let everyone know about your game. Include the name of the game, where it will be, and what prizes can be won.
- Announcements: Create an announcement for MD Assembly. The more people know about your game, the more players you'll have!
- Schedule: Create a schedule for when each groupmate will work. Make sure everyone knows their shift times and responsibilities.
02
- Location: Where will you set up your game? Make sure you have enough space for the game and for people to play.
- Equipment: What materials and equipment do you need? Make a checklist and gather everything beforehand.
- Decorations: How will you decorate your booth to attract players? Think about signs, colors, and any other fun elements.
- Calculate Probability: What are the odds of someone winning your game? Use your calculations to then estimate the quantity of prizes you'll need for Homecoming.
