Introduction

In our community, the appearance of chronic-degenerative diseases such as diabetes (type 1 and 2), high blood pressure and some other cardiovascular diseases has become increasingly common, which brings with it a decline in the quality of life of the population. population. This has largely been caused by the increase in the consumption of “fast food”, “junk food”, high-sugar drinks, as well as a more sedentary life, where it is increasingly common to see young people more immersed in use of technology and increasingly less involved in physical-recreational activities.

PEC name: Development of healthy habits that promote a better quality of life.

Objective and scope

Raise awareness among the school and Soto la Marina community of the importance of modifying or improving eating habits and physical activity, which allow us to improve the quality of life of our entire community in relation to the distribution of cases of chronic-degenerative diseases.

Goals

GOAL 1

  • Carry out an information campaign in primary and secondary schools, as well as in local news media and social networks, about the importance of developing healthy habits, emphasizing the benefits of eating a balanced diet, which allows the body to maintain . optimal operation.

GOAL 2

  • Promote the active participation of the Campus students and extension in the appropriation of healthy habits (balanced diet and physical activation), as well as the participation of the community in general, based on the dissemination carried out previously.

General design

Progress of the PEC by phase:

Phase I of PEC execution

1. Introduce the PEC to our students and explain the methodology to follow for its development. 2. Preparation of materials (brochures, brochures, digital presentations for projection and/or dissemination in the media and social networks) to start the information campaign in primary and secondary schools and local news media.

Phase II of PEC execution

1. Promote physical activation in the local basic education schools (7 primary schools in the capital, 1 in the town of La Piedra, 1 technical secondary school in the town and 3 telesecundarias (town of Tampiquito, Town of Las Tunas and Ejido La Piedra). 2. Promote the active participation of our students in internal sports tournaments during the semester

Phase III of PEC execution

Organize by team, the activities that will be carried out at the exhibition fair where brochures, brochures will have to be distributed, as well as healthy snack options and some healthy food options will be presented.

Operational plan

Phase 1 of PEC execution (first partial evaluation period)

Purpose of the phase: Carry out an information dissemination campaign in local basic education schools. Actions to develop: Distribute brochures and other printed materials, and disseminate information in the media and social networks.

Appendices

First, the second semester work teams of students from Campus 16 and La Piedra extension will be formed, and once the project to be implemented has been defined, it will be made clear what the execution of the community school project consists of in each one of the phases and specifies who the project is directed towards, being children from primary and secondary basic level schools, and explains how to approach the activities and their distribution to cover each of the planned phases.
