Users of the Digital Crafting area will be able to use one of ten iPads to create a work of their choosing. Programs they can use include:
Book Creator
CoSpaces
Stop Motion Studio
Scratch
Snap
Twine
And more.
Students can use the iPads or their own devices if it can be done.
The 3D Printing Station will have two 3D printers for students/staff to use. Users will be able to user their laptops to create their own designs using Tinkercad. Users will also be able to use Thingaverse to look for designs that have already been created. There will be 3D printed examples showcased to inspire designs by others.
Users at the Laser Engraving area will be able to use CorelDRAW software that is available on two desktops in the area to create designs that they would like to cut/engrave. Users will be able to choose from an assortment of materials including: acrylic, cardboard, MDF, and plywood.
Users using the crafting area will be able to use things such as: cardboard, construction paper, glue, markers, paint, pencils, scissors, and more. This area can be used to create things that do not require more extravagant tools. This area could be used to work on a painting project or to create a diorama for example.
Users of the LEGO crafting area will be able to choose from a wide assortment of LEGOs to build their models. Users will be able to use standard blocks, as well as LEGO characters and other accessories that LEGO creates.
Users using the Sewing area will be able to use two sewing machines, crochet materials, knitting materials, thread, etc. Users will be elligible to sew, crochet, macrame, knit, and more.
