Wind is moving air. A breeze is a light wind and a gale is a strong wind. When wind is very strong, it is called a hurricane. Clouds are made of lots of tiny droplets.

Ghosty the ghost es un proyecto de inmersión lingüística en el que a través de las destrezas de la lengua se van adquiriendo contenidos relativos al cuerpo humano.

EXPLICACIÓN PARA FAMILIAS

A través de seis capítulos se narra la historia de un fantasma llamado Ghosty. Está muy triste porque su cuerpo es blanco y está vacío. Él quiere ser como los demás niños, tener su propio cuerpo.Nuestros alumnos le ayudarán a descubrirlo.

A través de la lectura de cada capítulo se trabajará uno de los sistemas del cuerpo humano, con sus actividades correspondientes.Los alumnos realizarán una escucha comprensiva a través de la cuál realizarán una lámina con lo comprendido.

Al finalizar el libro, los niños habrán convertido la escucha oral en un libro dibujado y escrito, un libro al uso, que será utilizado para contar esta historia al resto del alumnado.

Ghosty is a ghost. He lives in a big castle with his family: his parents and his brother. However, his friends are not ghosts, they are children.

Ghosty loves playing with his friends, going to the cinema, eating popcorns, running, etc. Ghosty is not happy. He is sad. Why?His body is empty. He wants to have the same body as his friends.

Ghosty's favourite food is popcorns. Also, he loves eating pizza and icecreams. However, when he eats so much his stomach is not okay. Once, he ate so much that he had to go to the hospital.

CHAPTER 3

His parents tell him to eat fruit and vegetables because they're healthier. He likes apples, bananas and grapes. He also likes meat, fish and milk. When he eats this food his stomach doesn't suffer and he feels active and energic and he can play with his friends.

Different landscapes have different natural features like mountains and beaches. They are natural because humans do not make them. Man-made features, like a lighthouse and a bridge, are made by humans and change natural landscapes.

Inland landscapes can have many different natural features like plains, lakes, plateaus, rivers, valleys and mountains. A group of mountains together is called a mountain range.

What does a plant need?

Plants are living things that grow on land and water.Plants grow, reproduce and die.Plants need soil, water, air and sun to live.

Parts of a plant

Plants have different parts: the roots, the stem, the leaves, the flower and the seeds.- The roots take minerals and the water from the soil.- The stem helps minerals and water reach the leaves and the flowers.- The leaves make the food for the plant using the sunlight.- The flower attracts the insects to help the plant pollinate and create new plants.

Life cycle of a plant

First, we plant the seed.Then, the seedling grows.Later, there is an adult plant.Finally, the seeds of the flower fell down and a new cycle begins.
