1.1 Singular form

We must remember that when we are going to use this form, we are referring to ONE object, person, or thing.

For the singular form in the simple present tense, we will be using the following:

EXAMPLES:

First person:

• I am from México.
• I am a student.

Third person:

• He is a doctor.
• She is reading a book.
• It is raining.

Second person:

• You are my friend.
• You are talented.

Important note: Are is specifically used for the second person (singular and plural) and the first- and third-person plural.This form helps describe ongoing actions, states, or characteristics in the present tense.
