Reflection on How Students Learn

Learn in Various Modalities

Since the start of the pandemic, education has had to adapt to different teaching methods, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid. In-person education allows children to interact with teachers and peers, enabling them to exchange ideas and learn directly. In virtual learning, students can interact with their peers and teachers online. However, the crisis has made learning more difficult due to limited contact, shorter lecture times, and challenges in maintaining student engagement. The hybrid learning approach offers flexibility and can be utilized in various settings, allowing students to learn at their own pace.

Students need to collaborate in their education. One effective strategy to encourage collaboration is to involve them in complex tasks that require teamwork. Another approach is to help them understand the importance of teamwork and cooperation and to take advantage of opportunities to collaborate with everyone in the classroom. A technology that can help locally and globally with collaboration is Google Meet, as it can connect people in different parts of the world and allow them to collaborate.

Self-Reflection

Reflecting on what students have learned can be a valuable strategy to promote critical thinking and a deeper understanding of the material. Encouraging students to keep a journal where they can not only take notes but also reflect on their lessons can further enhance their learning experience. By revisiting previous lessons, students can reflect on their progress and reinforce their memory of the material.

This style is particularly suitable for subjects like chemistry and biology, where group work and discussion can enhance understanding.4. Hybrid or blended teaching style: integrates the teacher's personality and interests with those of the students, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment

Teaching Practices

I plan to implement teaching practices that prioritize effective communication between my students and myself. This will include special consideration for students who may have difficulty communicating due to speech impairments. I aim to create an inclusive learning environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves, regardless of any speech-related challenges they may face.

Diverse Needs in the Classroom.

Tailoring lesson plans to accommodate everyone’s unique needs is essential for effectively supporting every student. This personalized approach ensures that all students receive the support and guidance necessary for their academic success. The lesson plan is structured to facilitate a gradual and comprehensive understanding of the material, providing students with the opportunity to incrementally build their skills and knowledge, ultimately leading to the achievement of results. The integration of a variety of technological tools, such as interactive software, educational apps, and online resources, plays a crucial role in enabling students to achieve a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of academic concepts and subjects. These tools offer diverse learning opportunities and cater to different learning styles, making it easier for students to grasp complex topics and engage with the material in a meaningful way. Overall, the thoughtful incorporation of technology in education significantly contributes to enhancing students' comprehension and retention of knowledge.
