GATHER MATERIALS
Pieces of cardboard in different sizes Markers, crayons, or paint to decorate Glue, tape, or a hot glue gun to stick things together Scissors Small toy figures or cars to go through the course A ruler and pencil for measuring and drawing Optional: Craft sticks, paper tubes, and other craft items for more obstacles

Draw a simple plan of your obstacle course on paper. Include ramps, tunnels, bridges, and any other obstacles you want. Decide where each obstacle will go. Show your plan to the group!

CUT OUT CARDBOARD PIECES
Ramps: Cut out rectangles and fold them to make a slope. Secure with tape or glue. Tunnels: Use paper tubes or roll up pieces of cardboard into tubes. Cut openings as needed. Bridges: Cut out flat pieces of cardboard and support them with craft sticks or folded cardboard. Walls and Barriers: Cut out squares or rectangles to create barriers along the course. Show your obstacles to the group!

DECORATE THE OBSTACLES
Use markers, crayons, or paint to color and decorate each obstacle. Add patterns and designs to make them fun. You can choose a theme for your decorations, like a jungle, space, or race track. Show your decorations to the group!
