1. The town founded by the Romans

Colchester

The first town founded by the Romans in Britannia was Camulodunum, known today as Colchester. It was established around 43 AD and served as the first Roman capital of Britannia. Students can visit the Colchester Castle, built on the foundations of the Temple of Claudius, to see Roman artifacts and learn about Roman presence in the area.

The second town founded by the Romans in Britannia was Londinium, known today as London. It was established around 47-50 AD and located on the river Thames. It served as a commercial area. There are several signs of Roman life in London, such as "London Wall", remains of a Roman house and baths, in the Museum of London there are several Roman artifacts.

"Aquae Sulis", known as Bath, was founded by the Romans in Britannia. It was established around 60 AD and was known for its hot springs. It became an important Roman spa town.   • A Queen of Iceni tribe, a Celtic people, living in Britain.
  • She had long red hair and vas very brave
  • When her husband died, she took the control of the revolt and had a big army.
  • In Colchester she attacked the Romans and destroyed their towns, including Colchester, London.,,,,
  • There was a big battle but the Romans won because they were better organized and had stronger weapons.
  • In London there is a statue of Boudicca, near the Houses of Parliament, to honour her courage.
