PRESENT SIMPLE
(used as future)
We use the present simple ONLY to talk about future timetables or schedules.
- The class starts at four o'clock.
- Does your plane arrive tonight?
- No, it doesn't. It arrives tomorrow morning.
How to use PRESENT SIMPLE (used as FUTURE)
The ONLY verbs that can be used in the PRESENT SIMPLE used as FUTURE:
- arrive
- be
- begin
- close
- depart
- end
- finish
- leave
- open
- start
FUTURE "BE GOING TO" + infinitive
How to use BE GOING TO + INFINITIVE
BE GOING TO + INFINITIVE can be used instead: I am going to cook pasta tomorrow / She is going to bake a cake tonight.
