THE HELL INVASION
THE HELL EXPLORATION AND EXCAVATION PROJECT
During the New Peace, the entrance to Hell was discovered, and a mining complex was built around it. Repurposed war machines explored Hell, and inventions like the elevator room , which converted physical matter into radio signals for transport, were developed. A successful teleportation test sent a vinyl record to Hell, but the connection was cut before more transfers could be made.
terminals
Workers noticed strange occurrences, like doors closing and machine parts vanishing, leading to the belief that Hell was sentient. One worker's message about this was corrupted by Hell, prompting the abandonment of the Hell exploration project and facility due to fear or humanity's extinction.
Humanity eventually went extinct for unknown reasons, with a rapid influx of souls into Hell suggesting a swift global catastrophe. Blood on Earth became scarce, leading remaining machines to invade Hell for blood, gradually depleting Hell's life.
THE FINAL WAR
In the early 20th century, the world entered the "Final War," a prolonged global conflict rooted in trench warfare from an alternate timeline of World War I. The Russian Empire pioneered the use of blood-fueled machines called Guttermen, effectively ending trench warfare. This sparked an arms race, with the German Empire creating the Guttertank. Machines soon dominated the battlefield, making human soldiers obsolete and causing severe resource shortages and widespread destruction.
The conflict escalated with the introduction of Earthmovers, colossal machines powered by blood and solar energy, capable of destroying entire cities. Survivors of the war were forced to live on these massive machines as the Earth's surface became uninhabitable. V1 was developed to counter the Earthmovers.
The war resulted in a catastrophic environmental event called the "Long Night," where soot and debris blocked sunlight, causing the Earthmovers to fail. The Final War ended after over 200 years, leaving humanity to collaborate in addressing the planet's dire condition.

GABRIEL

GABRIEL
GABRIEL
However, after his first defeat by V1 in Gluttony, the Council, seeing this as a waste of his power, cut him off from the light of The Father. They threatened him with death within 24 hours unless he proved his devotion by killing V1.
Gabriel is the main antagonist and narrative protagonist of ULTRAKILL, known as the Will of God, and one of the most powerful angels. He carries out the Council's will with ruthless efficiency, earning both fear and respect.
Following his second defeat by V1 in Heresy, Gabriel ascended to Heaven, killed all the Council members, and realized the atrocities he committed on their behalf in the name of an absentee God.
After defeating King Minos and becoming the Judge of Hell, he killed King Sisyphus, ending his insurrection, and aimed to drive the Machines out of Hell.

V1
V1
V1 is a blue, humanoid machine with a sleek, CCTV camera-like head. On the left side of its head are a barcode and unreadable characters. It features eight glowing, wing-like structures on its back, which enable agile aerial maneuvers, rapid dashing, and continuous sliding, as well as storing unused weapons. "V1" is displayed on the left side of its torso.

Oh! Look! That's my name, V1! What?. You're not liking this presenation so far.? Oh, boo-hoo, human. You're gonna keep wandering around this amazing creation, if you don't want me to drink your goddamn blood. Okay? Good, now, I'm gonna introdduce myself.
ARMS
Compared to its successor V2, V1 has a thinner, more fragile chassis, allowing it to self-repair through direct contact with fresh blood. Its left arm, the Feedbacker, is used for punching and deflecting projectiles.

Knuckleblaster
Red arm
The Knuckleblaster is the red variant of the Arm, obtained after beating V2 in [ 1-4: CLAIR DE LUNE ]. Punching with this arm will deal heavy damage and send enemies flying away, but cannot parry.
The Knuckleblaster has three clawed fingers and is equipped with two exhaust pipes on its side. The arm has a slot on the top of the forearm that reveals its mechanical interior. It is designed with two "knuckles" that eject shotgun shells upon explosion, flanked by two screws. During reloading, a vertical slot on the forearm retracts, indicating a mechanism for replacing the shells.
Whiplash
Green arm
The Whiplash is the green variant of the Arm, obtained after finishing off V2 in [ 4-4: CLAIR DE SOLEIL ]. It pulls light enemies and objects towards V1, and pulls V1 towards heavy enemies and grapple points.
The Whiplash appears to be a yellowish-green robotic arm with a spearhead attached to it by a cable. It is capable of throwing out and extending this makeshift grapple, pulling it back via an unseen winch within. The arm itself has a somewhat worn down appearance, with various scratches along its paintjob.

Feedbacker
Blue Arm
The Feedbacker is literally just V1's arm. It sports a blue and gunmetal gray color scheme, with protrusions at the bases of its fingers simulating knuckles. Upon punching, it makes a crisp "whiffing" sound. When parrying, it produces a satisfying, metallic "clinking" sound.
The key feature of the Feedbacker is its ability to parry. With precise timing, punching almost any projectile or coins.
