The Teaching Lab Model of Iterative Content Development (ADDIE+G)

ADDIE is an Instructional Design framework that will help categorize the steps for developing or modifying content. It will be important to take an iterative approach during the Design and Develop phases. This process highlights what it means to be efficient, quality-driven, and impactful.

What does it mean to be efficient and iterative?

For example, instead of waiting for 100% completion on a Course Syllabus before designing the deck, begin a rough draft of the deck showcasing parts of the Course Syllabus that are ready. Find opportunities to streamline and work efficiently without compromising quality–such as waiting to develop the Participant Notecatcher until after the deck has been reviewed and somewhat finalized.
