After experiencing Pbl activities in class and participating to two different International Dialogues online, a selection of students from each school took part in the Multiplier Event at Mariagerfjord Gymnasium, Hobro, Denmark from May 27 to May 31. The event consisted of a number of activities: PBL workshops ahead of the Festival of Europe. Three main workshops ( approx 250 students and 20 teachers) were carried out on May 28 and 29 at Mariagerfjord Gymnasium.

Introduction: a group of Aalborg University students from AAU on Demand made a presentation on PBL. The presentation contained inspiration for very different solutions to the problem (solutions can be anything from a play, workshop, app, quiz etc.). The following workshops were presented. From the workshops the best idea(s) were to be picked up for presentation at the Festival of Europe. The choice was to be made on the basis of these parameters: Does it solve a problem? Does the product relate to the headlines for the work? Is it feasible considering the relatively short preparation time? Is the idea original? Can the idea activate a large number of students or citizens?

Problem: How do we talk together about the climate and agree on common solutions? It is challenging to talk about the climate because we often think that we have to be a certain type of person to be interested in the climate debate: An environmentalist, a person who always go by bike to work, a vegan, a food waste fighter or something completely different. If we are not any of these, we may think: "What the use if I can't make a difference anyway?". Obstacles: External actors from The European Climate Pact and Klimatorium must be included in the activity. The same goes for Peter Christensen, Senior Director of Production Technology and Innovation at Grundfos. A company that is very concerned with creating a circular business model, where they recover or reuse the resources used to create their products.

Problem: Voter turnout in the European elections is generally much lower than it is in national elections. How can we engage European citizens in European democracy?Obstacles: You must activate the citizens who visits our tent. Whether it's with quizzes, role-plays, polls, workshops or something completely different, is up to you. The guests must not just be reduced to passive spectators.
