My Holiday
LAMOLA LEONARDO
salento
My vacation this year started earlier than in previous years. In fact, on June 12th, I was already on a train headed to Puglia. I was with my grandmother, my aunt, and two friends. We stayed in a sort of tourist village for 10 days, from the 12th to the 22nd. It was more of a relaxing trip because it was a small town with only 38 inhabitants, which slightly filled up during the summer. The water was crystal clear, and the climate was tropical. To have some fun, we spent the evenings biking to other nearby towns or getting to know the few boys and girls in the village. Unfortunately, it all ended on the 22nd, and we headed back to our home in Quarrata.
Boston e new york
My vacation resumed on July 26th after spending about ten days with my friends in Quarrata. On the 26th, I left for Milan because I would be staying in a hotel there and the next morning I would catch a flight to Boston with a layover in France. We started our journey with a 2-hour flight to Paris, followed by a 7-hour flight from Paris to Boston. Once we arrived in Boston, we spent the first night in a hotel and the following days exploring the city. In Boston, I visited the city center, rich in culture, and toured the two most important schools, Harvard and MIT. It was more boring than expected—it's a beautiful city, but perhaps not ideal for young people. For this reason, on the last day, we went to a trampoline park. After that, we took a train and headed to New York, where I visited the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and the 9/11 Memorial.
Or lando e miami
The best part was yet to come—Orlando, with its abundance of theme parks. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on our side as a hurricane passed over us, and we spent two days at the parks while it rained. Only on the last day did we manage to visit the water park without any rain. After Orlando, we rented a car and spent three days in Miami, luckily with plenty of sunshine. We spent those three days between the pool and the beach, exploring the most famous neighborhoods, like the Art District.
key west
As our final stop, we visited the Florida Keys, also known as Key West. Since the islands are small, we spent one day at the beach and the other exploring the town. Luckily, fortune was on our side this time—there was a lobster festival happening that day, and I had the chance to try some.
