The purpose of a Daily Routine is to practice your communicative competence. Daily Routines must include the following: · Oral Reproduction (the ability to express thoughts and feelings through speech) · Oral interaction between classmates · Use of Grammatical and Vocabulary Content (from the unit)

Describe past experiences and tell stories

Choose one of these videos and tell a short story in past.

1 minute to watch one of these videos. Take some notes!

2 minutes to describe what you just saw in as much detail as possible (as if you were telling the short story to a friend)

Use simple past and past continuous!

1 minute to ask classmates if you missed any information

RULES

Game 1: In groups of 3, spin the wheel. Student 1 creates an affirmative sentence in past simple. Student 2 changes it to a negative. Student 3 changes it into an interrogative. Game 2: In partners, look at the photographs. One partner creates the question and the other answers it using past simple.

Game 1: In groups of 3, spin the wheel. Student 1 creates an affirmative sentence in past continuous. Student 2 changes it to a negative. Student 3 changes it into an interrogative. Game 2: In partners, look at the photographs. One partner creates the question and the other answers it (using Past Continuous). e.g. What were doing yesterday at 6pm? I was studying with some classmates.

Verb +-ing Form

RULES

Game 1: Spin the wheel and decide if the word(s) are followed by verb+ing or to+infinitive. Then create your own sentences. Game 2: In partners, create sentences with the vebs followed by gerunds.

Phrasal Verbs

RULES

Game 1: Play Charades using the Phrasal Verbs that appear in your book. Your group must guess which Phrasal Verb you are acting out. Game 2: Identify the phrasal verb in the sentence and guess it's meaning. Then create a new sentence with that phrasal verb.Game 3: Match the phrasal verb to it's meaning and then create new sentences.

Game 1: Match the sentences. Then use the same Gerund (as a noun) to create a new sentence. Game 2: Look at thee photographs and try to create sentences in which the Gerund (-ing form of the verb ) is the subject.
