Le fibre tessili sono dei materiali a forma di filo usati per fare i tessuti. Sono classificate in base all’origine.

Fibre naturali di origine vegetale (cotone, lino) o animale (lana, seta).
Natural fibres of plant origin (cotton, flax) or Animal (wool, silk).
Il cotone e il lino sono ricavati dalle piante di cotone e di lino.
Cotton and flax are made from cotton and flax plants.
La lana è ricavata dal pelo di animali come la pecora, il coniglio d’angora, l’alpaca, il cammello. La seta è ricavata dalla bava di un baco.
