tre: trauma release exercises

INTRODUCTION
TRE (Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a body technique that helps the body to release deep patterns of tension, stress and trauma allowing it to regain its state of balance and well-being. Throughout our lives, our muscles contract to protect us from what our mind-body feels is a threat. But when this tension is not released, it becomes chronic and affects our vitality. All people suffer or have suffered, at some point in their lives and to a greater or lesser degree, episodes of stress. These can be physical: a fall on a bicycle, an excessive effort, an accident; or they can be psychological: a shock, an anger, a separation, a loss, conflicts in relationships, the sight of a shocking event, etc. To a greater degree, it could be living through a natural disaster or an armed conflict. Any of these episodes of stress leave their mark on the body and become a muscular pattern of tension.
