Introducción
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as "Tapping" or "EFT tapping", is a therapeutic practice that combines traditional Western psychology with the stimulation of acupuncture points on the body. It consists of a set of techniques that allow emotional healing to be achieved in a comfortable and reasonably simple way, as it is a method that is within everyone's reach. The basic idea behind EFT is that when a human being faces any kind of negative situation, there is a whole set of emotions that come to the surface and unbalance the nervous system. These emotions, in a certain sense, remain engraved in our brain (and affect certain organs and points of the body), so if we are not able to process and assimilate what happened correctly, we will be faced with an emotion that will be reproduced periodically and that will cause us physical, mental and emotional damage. EFT can be used to treat a wide range of psychological and emotional problems. However, as a general rule, it is usually used in the following cases: -Worries, stress, anxiety, phobias and traumatic experiences. -Tiredness and exhaustion. -Depression, anger, resentment, sadness and mood swings. -Insecurity and low self-esteem.
