Enabling the adoption of third-party tools to deliver interactive and assessment methods. Mapping of faculty needs, identifying tools to address them and launching/monitoring experimentations and pilots.Increasing the adoption of Continuous Assessment practices. Analyzing the current adoption rate and identifying elements perceived as potential barriers to propose possible solutions.Increasing the number of online, computer-based, exams (30% of exams are currently paper-based) by enabling the delivery according to specific needs.

METHODS FOR INTERACTION AND ASSESSMENT

"The project involved creating an interactive guide for students and designing a live session to experiment with tools like Google Search and generative AI (ChatGPT) for qualitative research in small groups.The objective was to enhance students' research skills by fostering their critical and creative thinking, as well as their collaboration skills."

Enabling the adoption on a large scale of innovative methods (e.g. business simulations) and innovative digital materials (e.g. multimedia case study, interactive exercises) which are part of the Bocconi digital ecosystem, through the creation of a portfolio of methods and a catalogue of business simulation and interactive exercises.Evaluating of the online learning video portfolio, with the goal of identifying the most reusable video lessons through a tagging system (by the end of 2023), involving the faculty as the only validators content-wise, and finding some valid criteria for their storage (duration, year of production, etc.) for a more efficient use of the archive.Updating faculty’s UX needs on Ultra to better understand the most important features to make the user experience at its best (remapping by the end of each academic year, i.e. July). The output of this activity will then inform the decisions on how to upgrade ULTRA and its components

Digital Leargning Ecosystem

Updating on the rollout of classrooms improvements aimed at faculty training; researching innovations to meet teaching needs (e.g., study of the ergonomics of Wacom monitors, provision of dual monitors to allow the use of dual sources) Adopting Virtual Machines: test of the new lab (phase 1, by the end of Q2 2023), adoption in selected courses (phase 2, starting from September 2023) and delivery of exams with virtual machines (phase 3, timing tbc) Studying and testing alternative tools for detecting students’ attendance, by December 2023.Creating synergies with other workgroups on infrastructure and classroom’s equipment

CLASSROOMS’ TECHNOLOGY - HARDWARE AND (VIRTUAL) SOFTWARE

"We recently conducted and presented a comprehensive workshop specifically tailored for the Language Centre. The main goal of the meeting was to introduce Bocconi's current Educational Paradigm, emphasizing its teaching models and methods.In particular, we deepened sixteen teaching methods suggested by the educational paradigm to enhance innovation, interaction, engagement, and inclusion within the classroom. The workshop included an overview of the three different teaching models, and for each method, we provided a methodological introduction followed by use cases and examples of their adoption."

Monitoring of student attendance, by creating a dashboard profiled for different categories of users (dean, program director, course director, instructor).Reviewing of the attendance dashboard so to include the single student level.Creating an integrated system of learning analytics for monitoring, analyzing, and predicting the relationship between learning objectives, methods, and student performance.

LEARNING ANALYTICS

Creating, in accordance with the Dean of Faculty, and communicating a framework for teaching excellence in blended learning by promoting its usage and a portfolio of faculty development initiatives.Mapping faculty training needs on methodological and technological aspects, to be run/updated every two years through questionnaires, in accordance with other monitoring activities of the previous tracks, and discussions with the faculty members of the Teaching Think Tank.Increasing faculty engagement and participation to training initiatives (reaching all the 9 departments, with at least one initiative each year) and disseminate innovations in teaching, leveraging on existing communication channels or creating new ways (e.g. “teaching night”) to reach faculty members.

FACULTY TRAINING INITIATIVES AND DISSEMINATION

"The project consisted in developing a guide for video storyboarding and designing a live group-work session aimed creating videos for presentation at the U7+ conference.The proposed methodology helped students develop negotiation and communication skills, as well as creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, both through collaboration within their groups and through presentation and discussion with the other groups about the challenges of the U7+ conference. "
