It's Geography
Seychelles is a group of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, northeast of Madagascar. The largest island is Mahe, where you’ll find Victoria, the capital city. There are no rivers due to its small size and rocky makeup. Morne Seychellois on Mahe Island is the highest point at 905 meters (2,969 ft) above sea level. With warm temperatures year-round and stunning beaches, it’s a popular tourist destination known for clear waters.
Natural Resources
Seychelles is rich in natural resources despite its small size. The country’s economy relies heavily on fishing and tourism, with abundant marine life supporting a thriving fishing industry. Seychelles also has significant deposits of granite which are used for construction purposes. Additionally, the islands boast diverse flora and fauna, including unique species found nowhere else in the world. Conservation efforts are important to protect these valuable natural resources and maintain the ecological balance of this beautiful archipelago in the Indian Ocean.
