Change/Add databases
Use multiple databases at once! Selecting the database title will pull up a list of all of Milner's EBSCO-subscribed databases. You can select as many as you would like to search through multiple databases at the same time. Start with ECONLit and add the other database as needed. Many of our Business databases are also useful for finding economics journal articles.
Advanced Filters
Use the following filters to further refine your search:
- Linked Full Text: Only shows you articles that this database full text
- References Available: Only shows you articles that the database also has articles included in the reference list
- Peer Review: Only includes articles from journals that have a peer review process.
- Publications: Search for individual journal titles rather than the whole database.
What does this do?
Use the dropdown boxes to limit your search to just certain areas of articles. For example: All Fields: This allows you to search for terms in all of the citation information for an article (title, author, abstract, etc.) but not the full text of the article. All Text: This tells the database to look for the search terms anywhere in the available materials. The default 'Select a Field' option uses this option. Librarians refer to this as a keyword search. Title: This setting allows you to search for a specific article title.Subject Terms: This allows you to search for articles that are connected to a specific subject.See 'Searching Using Subjects' tab for more information.
