What is the male reproductive system?
The male reproductive system is the one found in a man's body for the purpose of having children. Some parts of the male reproductive system, such as the penis and urethra, also belong to the urinary system.
The penis
The penis is the male organ used for urination and sexual intercourse. It is located above the scrotum. It is made up of spongy tissue and blood vessels. The shaft of the penis surrounds the urethra and is connected to the pubic bone. The foreskin covers the head (glans) of the penis. The foreskin has been removed if the boy is circumcised. This is frequently done shortly after birth, but may be done later in life for various medical and religious reasons.
