Metacognition-Thinking about one's thinking is an example of constructivism because learners have to think about what they know, how it connects to the new skill and reflect on how well they understand the new concept (Ornstein & Hunkins, 2016). Discovery Learning- This style of learning involves learners, specifically at the elementary level, learning through exploration mostly at the concrete level. This elates to constructivism because through hands-on exploration, students are able to make new connections to information through the hands-on experiences (Ornstein & Hunkins, 2016).
