ARTE DIGITAL
Las primeras manifestaciones artísticas asociadas a las computadoras y a la informática surgen hacia la segunda mitad del siglo XX (entre 1950 y 1970)
Charles “Chuck” Csuri se considera el padre del arte elaborado con ordenador.
Durante más de 22 años lideró la investigación de gráficosen diversos campos del diseño, el arte y tecnología:
- Simuladores de vuelo
- Efectos especiales de cine y televisión
- Arquitectura
- Resonancia magnética
- Visualización de fenómenos científicos
La primera animación artística de arte y diseño por ordenador es Hummingbird (Colibrí).
Utilizando una computadora IBM 1130 -que funcionaba mediante tarjetas perforadas-, el artista creó un colibrí dibujado solo con líneas. Para su elaboración se generaron más de 30.000 imágenes.
