- Foods may not freeze solid if the freezer temperature is set too high.
- Press the [Freezer] button to set a lower temperature
Set the freezer temperature to -8 °F or -11 °F.
Is the freezer temperature set too high?
Is the freezer door not closing properly?
If the freezer door is not closed completely, warm air from the outside may enter, which may result in weak freezing performance.
Check the following points below and close the freezer door completely.
Check and Clean Door Gaskets
Make sure all sides of the door are closed without any gaps, that no food items are keeping the door from closing fully, and that the door gasket is not compressed anywhere.

Was the Refrigerator installed or was there any power outage in the Past 24 hours?
The unit must be allowed to run for at least 24 hours for the internal temperature to stabilize. Also, if the refrigerator was filled with food and drink when installed, it will require longer than 24 hours.

Hissing Sound
Gurgling Sound
Does it make a hissing or gurgling noise?
The compressor in the refrigerator naturally produces sounds as the oil and refrigerant flow. When the refrigerant is in a liquid state, it can create hissing and gurgling noises, similar to water flowing down a drain.
Check Placement
There should be at least two inches between the back of the refrigerator and the wall for efficient air circulation.
Check Condenser Cover Panel
Dust can block the holes in the panel, reducing the ventilation efficiency of the condenser. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush or crevice attachment to clean the condenser cover and vents. DO NOT REMOVE THE PANEL.
Is the refrigerator installed too close to a wall or sink, or is it in an area where there are extreme temperature changes?
It's best to place refrigerators indoors where the temperature is between 40°F and 90°F for optimal performance. Avoid placing the refrigerator too close to a wall and keep it away from electrical appliances like a gas stove to prevent any degradation of its function.

It's totally normal for refrigerators to make some noise, but if your fridge starts getting a bit too loud, here are some simple steps to help you figure out what might be causing the issue.
Watch
Was your refrigerator installed recently?
After plugging in the power cord, the refrigerator will start producing cold air after 1 to 2 hours. It's important to let the refrigerator settle for a bit before storing your food. In the summer, it may take up to 2 to 3 days for the refrigerator to become cold.
Are the Doors Aligned Properly?
Doors that are not aligned properly can create problems with gasket sealing. Refer to the owner’s manual, or watch How To Level Your LG Refrigerator for more information on leveling.
How to level your LG Refrigerator
If the frozen items are hard, note that the refrigerator goes through an auto defrost cycle as part of normal performance to prevent ice or frost buildup. The defrost cycle causes the temperature to rise, and the compressor does not run.
Are The Frozen Items Hard or Soft?
Remember to give your refrigerator some breathing room for proper air circulation. Also, be sure to keep the back of the fridge clean from dust by using a vacuum cleaner. If the area around the refrigerator is not well-ventilated or if there's a lot of dust at the back, it might affect the freezing function.
Is the cover of the mechanical compartment at the back of the product dusty or too close to a wall?
