Advanced Filters

Use the following filters to further refine your search:

  • Linked Full Text: Only shows you articles that this database full text
  • References Available: Only shows you articles that the database also has articles included in the reference list
  • Peer Review: Only includes articles from journals that have a peer review process.

What does this do?

Use the dropdown boxes to limit your search to just certain areas of articles. For example: All Fields: This allows you to search for terms in all of the citation information for an article (title, author, abstract, etc.) but not the full text of the article. All Text: This tells the database to look for the search terms anywhere in the available materials. The default 'Select a Field' option uses this option. Librarians refer to this as a keyword search. See 'Searching Using Keywords' tab for more information. Title: This setting allows you to search for a specific article title.Subject Terms: This allows you to search for articles that are connected to a specific subject.See 'Searching Using Subjects' tab for more information.
