Chromebook Expectations 2024-2025
This document outlines expectations for Chromebook use during the 2024-2025 school year. Students are responsible for the care and maintenance of their Chromebooks.
Chromebook Care
Physical Care
Chromebook Case
Students are expected to take care of their Chromebooks to prevent damage. This includes carrying them carefully, avoiding stickers, and using the keyboard gently.
If a Chromebook case is provided, the Chromebook must remain in the case at all times. Students should not draw or write on the case.
Respect for Others
Students should not touch other students' Chromebooks without permission and should report any lost Chromebooks to the library immediately.

Borrowing Limits
Students are expected to bring their Chromebooks to school fully charged every day.
Students who forget to charge their Chromebooks may borrow a power cord from the library for up to 3 hours.
Students who forget their Chromebooks may borrow a Library Loaner Chromebook for the day, but must return it by the end of the day.
Students may borrow Library Loaner Chromebooks and power cords up to a total of 3 times without receiving a lunch detention.

Examples
Students are not permitted to download apps or other programs to their Chromebooks.
Students caught adding programs to their Chromebooks will receive an office referral for violating the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for technology.
Examples of prohibited programs include games, cursor apps, and any app that bypasses GoGuardian.
Technical Support
Library Assistance
Hall Pass Required
Availability
Students with technical issues may come to the library for assistance.
Students need a hall pass from their teachers to get technology help during class time.
Technology help is not available during passing times. Students must go to class first and get permission to visit the library.
