The use of “will” to learn English

To switch to the interrogative mode, you only have to move the modal verb to the beginning of the text.

This is the auxiliary that helps make expressions about a time after the current one. The formula is as follows: subject + will + verb + complement, but the structure varies depending on whether it is an affirmation, denial or question.

introduction

The phrase, I read a novel (I read a novel) is written in the present tense. If you want to convert it to the future, what you do is place the auxiliary between the subject and the verb. It would be, then: I will read a novel. These other cases serve as a model: I will dance with my dad at the birthday party, we will have chicken for dinner tonight.

Objetivos del Curso

To switch to the interrogative mode, you only have to move the modal verb to the beginning of the text. We show you the difference: I will be traveling today and will I be traveling today?, which means: will I arrive on my trip today?

  • wiil
  • won't

This method not only works with pronouns, but also with objects, elements or actions. For example: will the battery last twelve hours?, which translated into Spanish is: will the battery last twelve hours?

Learn English to respond affirmatively and negatively

As for the negative form you have two options. The simplest is: No, followed by a comma + subject + will + not, like this particular case: No, they will not. Also, shortening the negation as we will explain to you now.

Every question deserves an answer, learning English will help you answer correctly, in a positive or negative sense. In the first case, you do it like this: Yes, they will. In Spanish: Yes, they will. It is up to you to complement the phrase by saying it in full, but it is not common, since in a conversation it is not necessary to repeat what the other person has already said. That would be the most accurate way to respond.
