Vindorka er ein af verðmætustu og útbreiddustu endurnýjanlegu orkulindunum sem við eigum í dag.
Vindorka
Vindorka er endurnýjanleg orkulind. Blöð stóru vindmyllanna eru hreyfð af krafti vindsins. Þessi blöð snúa hverfli inni í rafala til að framleiða rafmagn. Það eru yfir 341.000 vindmyllur á jörðinni, dreifðar um 83 lönd.

Sólarorka
""Solar" er latneska orðið fyrir "sól" og hún er öflug orkulind. Reyndar gæti sólarljósið sem skín á jörðina á aðeins einni klukkustund fullnægt orkuþörf heimsins fyrir heilt ár! Við getum notað sólarorku til að framleiða rafmagn. Ef þú hefur séð hús með stórum glansandi spjöldum á þakinu, þá er sú fjölskylda að nota sólarorku.

Lífmassaorka er elsta uppspretta orku á jörðinni. Með lifmassa er átt við allt lifrænt efni sem hefur geymt orku í gegnum ljóstillífunarferlið, eins og t.d. timbur, uppskera, þang og dýraúrgangur. Þessari orku er breytt í rafmagn og hita. Bandarikjanum kemur meirihluti lífmassaorku úr timbri. .
