Energija vjetra jedan je od najvrijednijih i najrasprostranjenijih obnovljivih izvora koje danas imamo.

Snaga vjetra je obnovljivi izvor energije. Lopatice velikih vjetrenjača pokreće snaga vjetra. Ove lopatice vrte turbinu unutar genetarora za proizvodnju električne energije. Postoji više od 341 000 vjetroturbina na planeti raspoređenih u 83 zemlje.

Solarna energija
"Solar" je latinska riječ za sunce i snažan je izvor energije. Zapravo, sunčeva svjetlost koja obasja Zemlju u samo jednom satu mogla bi zadovoljiti svjetsku potražnju za energijom cijelu godinu! Sunčevu energiju možemo koristiti za proizvodnju električne energije. Ako ste vidjeli kuću sa velikim sjajnim pločama na krovu, ta obitelj koristi solarnu energiju. Energija biomase
Ovo je najstariji izvor obnovljive energije na planeti. Pod biomasom podrazumijevamo svu organsku tvar koja je pohranila energiju kroz proces fotosinteze. Misli se na drvo, usjeve, morske alge i životinjski otpad. Ta se energija pretvara u električnu energiju i toplinu. U SAD-u većina energije iz biomase dolazi iz drva.
