  • This is a summary of the employee's timesheet entries and hours included in this pay for the pay period.
  • This information may include:
    • hours worked (Standard Pay)
    • allowances and deductions (Custom Pay Types)
    • leave types
    • Public Holidays, ect.

Payroll Name | Logo

The Payroll Name is displayed at the top of the payslip for reference so the employee and the employer can locate this pay easily.

Leave Balance Information

  • Showing leave balances on payslips is not required, but it is recommended. You can select this in the Employee Profile.
  • When doing an Urgent or Same-Day Pay, the leave balances shown on employee payslips may differ from what you see in the leave liability table. This is because payslip leave balances only update after the pay has been processed and employee reports run in our system backend, which could only occur the following morning.

As a security feature leave balances on payslips only update for processed pays after we run the Employee Reports in the back end of the system.

Pay Summary

  • The Pay Summary provides a breakdown of the employee's pay.
  • This breakdown may include:
    • the Gross Pay (earnings before deductions)
    • Net Pay (earnings after deductions)
    • the Pay Day Transfer amount
    • PAYE deductions
    • Child Support payments
    • Student Loan payments
    • Payroll Giving
    • fines and other deductions.

KiwiSaver Information

  • Employee and employer contributions are shown here for employees opted in to KiwiSaver.
  • ESCT is also shown
  • The total amount transfered to the employee's KiwiSaver account is given in bold.

  • The Pay Number is shown for reference so you can easily find the pay this payslip is for.
  • The Pay Date is shown on the payslip.
    • 'To be paid' indicates an active pay that has not been processed by our system yet.
    • 'Paid' indicates a pay that has been processed and the funds transferred.

Pay Rates Information

  • Showing pay rates on pay slips is not required, but it is recommended.
  • If selected, pay rates will show for all entries included in timesheet rows including
    • standard pay
    • custom pay types (allowances and deductions) as created
    • leave types

This is an optional field that will only be included if selected in the Employee Profile. Click here to find out how to include Pay Rates in the payslip.

This is the

Employee Information

  • The Employee's Name has to be the same as for their IRD registration, as this is sent with their pay day filing.
  • The Employee's IRD number is shown on the payslip.
  • The Employee's Tax Code is shown on the payslip.

Note that if you want to show the Employee's Date Of Birth on the payslip it is added to the name field in their Employee Profile. This is needed for under-aged employees.
